Greer brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served in various capacities related to military, trade, and international relations. His background includes service as an officer in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps in Kansas and deployment to Iraq as Chief of Military Justice. In addition to his military service, Greer has worked in private firms specializing in trade law and international trade.
His tenure as Chief of Staff to former USTR Robert Lighthizer further underscores his qualifications for the position. During this time, he played a significant role in successful trade negotiations under President Trump.
