U.S. Senator Roger Marshall met with Jamieson Greer, President Donald Trump's nominee for the position of United States Trade Representative. Following their meeting, Senator Marshall expressed his support for Greer's nomination.

Senator Marshall highlighted Greer's familiarity with agriculture and the Kansas aerospace industry, emphasizing his potential to expand opportunities for American commodities and products. "Jamieson Greer has my full support as the next United States Trade Representative," stated Senator Marshall. He added that Greer's passion and dedication to promoting American-made products were evident during their discussion. "I have no doubt, with him at the helm, we will be a powerhouse in trade negotiations and on the world stage once again."

Greer brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served in various capacities related to military, trade, and international relations. His background includes service as an officer in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps in Kansas and deployment to Iraq as Chief of Military Justice. In addition to his military service, Greer has worked in private firms specializing in trade law and international trade.

His tenure as Chief of Staff to former USTR Robert Lighthizer further underscores his qualifications for the position. During this time, he played a significant role in successful trade negotiations under President Trump.
