U.S. Senator Roger Marshall recently appeared on Newsmax's Wake Up America to discuss key topics following a meeting between Senate Republicans and President Trump. During the meeting, President Trump highlighted his primary focus on securing the border and ensuring national safety.
Senator Marshall also touched upon the forthcoming confirmation hearings for President Trump's Cabinet nominees, set to begin next week, as well as his Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Caucus initiative.
Discussing the meeting with President Trump, Senator Marshall stated: "The most important thing to communicate to America is just the momentum that I’m feeling in that room, that just the vibe that President Trump is putting off is such a positive vibe, that he’s mastered all these topics." He further emphasized Trump's commitment to border security and family safety: "I think if you would ask President Trump, he would say that he ran on the safety and security of your family, that he ran on securing the border."
Regarding strategies for achieving these goals, Senator Marshall mentioned: "What we talked about is how do we get there? And yes, there’s this reconciliation bill... I think that we’ll end up in a good spot and work on those goals."
On the topic of upcoming Cabinet nominee confirmations, Senator Marshall expressed confidence due to their Republican majority: "Well, the good news is America gave us a 53-seat majority... what I’ve noticed about all of President Trump’s nominees is they’re great communicators." He anticipated successful confirmations despite potential controversies.
Lastly, discussing his MAHA Caucus efforts aimed at improving national health through better nutrition, Senator Marshall said: "Making America healthy again all starts with nutrition... Everything that the federal government touches, we should have an improved nutritional value."
