U.S. Senator Roger Marshall recently appeared on Fox Business to discuss the Senate's upcoming vote to confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. The Republican-led Senate is focused on confirming President Trump's Cabinet, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s hearings for Secretary of Health and Human Services also on the agenda.

Senator Marshall, a member of both the Senate Finance and HELP Committees, expressed confidence in Hegseth and Kennedy, believing they are well-suited to advance President Trump's America First Agenda.

During his interview, Senator Marshall said about Hegseth's confirmation: “I’m sure optimistic. [Pete Hegseth is] on second base right now. He passed the procedural vote with one vote to spare." He emphasized the importance of having nominees ready to implement executive orders issued by President Trump.

He also mentioned other potential nominees: “[Democrats have] resorted to character assassination…But regardless, I think that once we get Pete across the finish line, Kristi Nome is on deck... Sean Duffy is there in the hole waiting as well."

Regarding the GOP's commitment to confirming Trump's Cabinet, Marshall stated: “We’re willing to stay here and punish the Democrats... They can try to slow things down... if necessary, we will [use recess appointments].”

On Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s confirmation hearing, he remarked: “Look, he has an army of people behind him... 77 million…people voted for President Trump... Bobby Kennedy Jr….I think when people just listen to his heart... he wants to make America healthy again."
