U.S. Senator Roger Marshall recently appeared on NewsNation: The Hill to discuss President Trump's initial week in office, focusing on promises made and kept, as well as the confirmation hearings for RFK Jr. Senator Marshall is a member of both the Finance Committee and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee.

During his interview, Senator Marshall commented on President Trump's decision to remove inspectors general. He compared this action to former President Reagan's similar approach, stating that "these inspector generals have lost their way" and that Trump is fulfilling his promise to "drain the swamp." According to Marshall, this move aims to replace those who protect agencies rather than serve the American people.

Regarding RFK Jr.'s path forward for confirmation, Senator Marshall emphasized shared goals with Kennedy in making America healthy again. He noted that farmers and ranchers are key players in this initiative and highlighted advancements in precision agriculture. "We’re growing more food with less fertilizers," he said.

Marshall also discussed grocery prices as part of Trump's focus on prosperity and security. He stressed the need for innovation without causing inflation and expressed support for Kennedy's approach to health issues related to diet and toxins.

On Kansas troops being deployed to the southern border, Marshall expressed gratitude for their service but questioned why a significant number of soldiers are being sent from Fort Riley to Europe. "Why do we need 100,000 soldiers from the United States in Europe?" he asked.
