U.S. Senator Roger Marshall appeared on Newsmax's National Report to discuss several key issues, including the release of declassified documents by CIA Director John Ratcliffe regarding the origins of COVID-19. These documents reportedly support the theory that the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. Senator Marshall emphasized the need for transparency and criticized what he perceives as a lack of it from the Biden Administration.
Senator Marshall also addressed former President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon Dr. Anthony Fauci preemptively. He questioned this move, suggesting it shields Dr. Fauci and others from accountability for their roles during the pandemic.
Furthermore, Senator Marshall expressed his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nominated by President Trump as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Kennedy is set to undergo confirmation hearings in Senate Finance and Health Committees. As founder of the Senate Make America Healthy Again Caucus, Senator Marshall believes Kennedy will be instrumental in tackling America's chronic disease issues.
Senator Marshall remarked on Ratcliffe's document release: “I think number one is this is a sign of President Trump’s more transparency model... We’ve known from day one that this was very suspicious.” He continued to assert that “President Trump has promised that he would make everything more transparent.”
Regarding Biden’s pardoning of Dr. Fauci, he stated: “Once again, what are they hiding?... It’s a horrible, horrible [precedent] for the President to do this.”
On Kennedy's nomination, Marshall commented: “I don’t agree with RFK Jr. on everything, but I fully support him... He actually has two hearings going forward.” He added confidence in Kennedy's ability to focus on health challenges: “He’s going to do a great job.”
