On January 30, 2025, Rep. Davids shared information from American Airlines regarding contact numbers for those concerned about loved ones on board Flight 5342. She stated, "If you believe you may have loved ones on board Flight 5342, call American Airlines toll-free at 800-679-8215. Those calling from outside the U.S. can visit news.aa.com for additional phone numbers."
Later that day, Rep. Davids expressed her condolences following a midair collision and emphasized her focus on recovery efforts and supporting Kansas families affected by the tragedy. She wrote, "I’m heartbroken by last night’s tragic midair collision. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those lost."
