U.S. Senator Roger Marshall expressed his support for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., President Trump's nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, following the Senate Finance Committee's narrow vote to advance the nomination. The committee voted 14-13 in favor of moving Kennedy's nomination forward.

Senator Marshall highlighted Kennedy's focus on addressing chronic diseases and improving nutrition and food policy as key reasons for his endorsement. "It is an indisputable fact that there is a chronic disease epidemic across our country," stated Senator Marshall. He further emphasized Kennedy's suitability for the role by noting, "At both of his confirmation hearings, Robert F. Kennedy laid out the facts on why he is the right person at the right time to lead the U.S. Health and Human Services Department."

Marshall also expressed anticipation for working with Kennedy towards their mutual objective of enhancing public health outcomes in America. "As a physician, I stand firmly behind RFK Jr.’s nomination and am pleased to see the Finance Committee advance his nomination," said Senator Marshall. He added, "I look forward to voting for him on the Senate floor and working with him on our shared goal to Make America Healthy Again."
