U.S. Senator Roger Marshall recently appeared on Fox Business's "The Bottom Line" to discuss several pressing issues, including the Democrats' shift in their approach to bipartisanship, the deployment of IRS agents to assist at the U.S. southern border, and the need for reforms within FEMA. He also commented on the progress of President Donald Trump's cabinet nominees.

Senator Marshall criticized the Democrats for their inconsistent stance on working across party lines, saying, “It looks like my friends across the aisle will work with anybody whose name is not Donald Trump." He compared the current political situation to a fight where "the Democrats would be tapping out," suggesting they have lost confidence and direction.

Discussing FEMA, Marshall pointed out ongoing challenges since Hurricane Helene left many North Carolina families without homes. He referenced former Governor Noem's suggestion that governors should have more flexibility in using funds effectively. "We need a redo there at FEMA," he said.

Regarding DHS's request for IRS personnel at the border, Marshall expressed support for utilizing these agents to combat money laundering linked to human trafficking and fentanyl distribution. "I think this is very good use of our resources," he stated.

Marshall praised Leader John Thune for advancing President Trump's cabinet nominees swiftly through confirmations, noting progress comparable to past administrations. He highlighted upcoming hearings for nominees Tulsi Gabbard and Bobby Kennedy Jr., describing them as significant hurdles but expressing optimism about their confirmation.

Marshall also noted an increase in President Trump's approval ratings among younger voters, attributing this rise partly to figures like Gabbard and Kennedy Jr., who resonate with younger demographics.
