U.S. Senators Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran, along with Representative Sharice Davids, have reached out to the United States Postal Service (USPS) Postmaster General Louis DeJoy regarding the need for a new post office in Olathe, Kansas. The officials are advocating for the relocation and modernization of Olathe's downtown postal facility.

Olathe is experiencing rapid growth, prompting local authorities to collaborate with USPS on this initiative. The goal is to establish a modern and efficient postal facility that meets the needs of the expanding community.

In their communication, Senator Marshall, Senator Moran, and Representative Davids emphasized their commitment to this project: "We write regarding the proposed partnership between the USPS and Olathe, Kansas concerning the relocation of the downtown postal facility and construction of a new, efficient, and modern facility in its place."

They further stated their support: "…We wish to again express our strongest support for the project and remind you that each of us remains committed to following the process closely."

The lawmakers believe that such projects can serve as models for future partnerships between USPS and local communities. They conveyed optimism about achieving results swiftly: "As we have stated before, we believe this type of project can be a model for innovating partnerships benefiting both the USPS and local communities. We believe it will be achievable in quick order, and it will send a strong message to those legislatively engaged in USPS related issues."
