On Saturday, March 22, former Blue Valley Northwest High School standout Joey Matteoni’s current collegiate team the Drake Bulldogs lost 77-64 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in INTRUST Bank Arena, this was the first game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders during the championship.

Joey Matteoni’s hometown is Overland Park and game position is forward.
