Sharice Davids, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kansas' 3rd district, has been actively engaging with her constituents through various initiatives. In a series of recent tweets, she outlined her efforts in agriculture, healthcare, and aviation safety.

On May 9, 2025, Davids shared her experience visiting Phelon Farms in Anderson County as part of her Farm Bill Listening Tour. "Kicked off the morning at Phelon Farms in Anderson County with @KsSoybean — part of my Farm Bill Listening Tour!" She emphasized the importance of hearing directly from Kansas growers to effectively advocate for their priorities during negotiations.

The following day, on May 10, 2025, Davids addressed healthcare affordability concerns. She highlighted her efforts to reduce costs by capping insulin prices for seniors. "Too many families are struggling with the high cost of health care. That’s why I fought to cap insulin at $35 a month for seniors — saving some folks in #KS03 an average of $620 a year." This initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens on families and provide them with more disposable income.

Later on May 10, Davids discussed aviation safety and innovation while meeting with representatives from Georgia Manufacturing. "Great to join @GAManufacturing to talk aviation safety and innovation. I'm working to keep our skies safe and support good-paying jobs." Her focus remains on ensuring safety standards and supporting employment opportunities within the industry.

Sharice Davids has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing former representative Kevin Yoder. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, she resides in Roeland Park and holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Cornell University.
