Washington – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall (R-Kansas) has announced that Senate and House Republicans are making progress in their efforts to repeal more than a dozen regulations from the Biden administration. The Congressional Review Act (CRA) is being used as a legislative tool to reverse these federal rules with a simple majority vote.
Senator Marshall stated, “While the Biden-Harris administration tried to suffocate our nation’s businesses and families with nonsensical regulation after regulation, Senate and House Republicans are tearing down these barriers to unleash American prosperity.” He emphasized his commitment to working with colleagues to ensure that the CRAs fulfill President Trump’s promises.
The targeted regulations include measures aimed at reducing restrictions on American energy, ending certain environmental mandates, strengthening digital finance, and expanding personal freedoms. These actions align with former President Donald Trump’s America First agenda by aiming to lower consumer costs, protect privacy, and empower businesses.
The initiatives reflect several key promises made during Trump's presidency:
- Unleashing American energy
- Ending specific environmental mandates referred to as "the Green New Scam"
- Strengthening U.S. leadership in digital finance
- Eliminating burdensome regulations
