Sharice Davids, a U.S. Congress member representing Kansas' 3rd district since 2019, has been vocal about her legislative efforts and stance on current political issues through her social media presence. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, Davids currently resides in Roeland Park and has a background in law with degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Cornell University.

On May 13, 2025, Davids expressed her support for law enforcement during National Police Week. In a tweet, she stated: "This #NationalPoliceWeek, I’m proud to support the brave officers who keep our communities safe. I’ve: Passed bipartisan laws to fight fentanyl Secured $27M in public safety grants for KS Worked to reduce domestic and gun violence."

Later that day, she addressed her opposition to a budget proposal by the GOP that she described as extreme. In another tweet posted on May 13, she said: "Heading into a U.S. House markup on the extreme GOP budget that guts health care and food programs. I’m pushing back for Kansans."

The following day, on May 14, Davids shared personal reflections related to the budget discussions. She mentioned her upbringing by a single mother who served in the Army and criticized President Biden's partisan budget plan for potentially impacting families like hers negatively. She articulated these concerns in a tweet: "I was raised by a single mom who served in the Army. @POTUS’ partisan budget would take away health care and food from families like mine — and that’s just wrong."

Sharice Davids continues to advocate for policies that align with her constituents' needs while addressing broader national issues.
