As the summer travel season approaches, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall from Kansas has issued a statement offering advice to Kansans on how to ensure safe and efficient travel experiences. The Senator emphasized the importance of having proper documentation and knowing how to contact the State Department in case of emergencies.

"As Kansans prepare for summer vacations or work trips abroad, it is important they take the necessary steps to ensure they have the proper documents and know how to connect with the State Department in case of an emergency," said Senator Marshall. "My office stands ready to help anyone who needs additional assistance with a passport or other travel-related documents."

The Senator's office provides support for obtaining passports and other travel-related documents. Since 2017, more than 760 Kansans have received assistance from his office in securing their passports.

In addition, the U.S. State Department reminds travelers that all Americans, whether flying domestically or internationally, must possess a Real ID. More information about obtaining a Kansas-issued Real ID is available online.
