Sharice Davids, a U.S. Congress representative for Kansas' 3rd district, recently shared updates on her legislative activities and community engagements through a series of tweets. Representing her constituents since 2019, Davids has consistently focused on issues impacting her district.
On May 18, 2025, Rep. Sharice Davids expressed her commitment to addressing the aftermath of a tragic aviation incident. She stated, "This week, I met with families affected by the Flight 5432 tragedy. We owe it to them to take action. I’m committed to working with the NTSB and my colleagues to help ensure this kind of tragedy never happens again."
The following day, May 19, she criticized President Trump's budget proposal in a tweet highlighting its potential impact on Kansans. She wrote, "President Trump’s budget would raise prices and lower quality of life for folks like Robert in Louisburg — all to hand out more tax giveaways to billionaires. Kansans work hard. They deserve better."
Later that same day, Davids celebrated the achievements of two service academy nominees from her district. She announced their acceptance with enthusiasm: "Got to share some big news with a few of my service academy nominees — Joshua and Max are officially in! Can’t wait to see all they’ll do next. Congrats!"
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
