On Saturday, March 1, former Olathe West Senior High School standout Alex Birge’s current college team, the California Golden Bears, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Santa Clara Broncos.

The game took place at Evans Diamond at Stu Gordon Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Broncos this season.

The Golden Bears’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m. at Stephen Schott Stadium against Santa Clara Broncos.
