Rep. Sharice Davids, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kansas’ 3rd district, shared several updates on social media regarding her recent activities and legislative efforts.

On June 4, 2025, Rep. Davids joined ALPA Pilots to recognize the pilots who keep us safe in the skies. The post underscores her appreciation for the contributions of aviation professionals.

The following day, June 5, 2025, she addressed a pressing issue concerning mental health among LGBTQI+ youth. She stated that "LGBTQI+ youth are facing a mental health crisis — nearly 40% have considered suicide in the past year." In response to this crisis, Rep. Davids announced that she has reintroduced her Pride in Mental Health Act during #PrideMonth to provide necessary support for these young individuals.

Later on June 5, she commented on ongoing efforts to address drug-related issues in Kansas. She remarked that "we've made progress in combating the fentanyl crisis — but there's still more to do to keep Kansans safe," highlighting continued challenges despite advancements.

Sharice Davids has been serving since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019 and resides in Roeland Park. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA and earned a JD from Cornell University.
