U.S. Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas recently appeared on Fox Business' "Mornings with Maria" to discuss the achievements of President Trump's administration during its first six months. The senator highlighted key successes such as tax cuts, securing the border, and various trade deals. He also addressed concerns regarding what he described as the Democrats' misuse of the intelligence community.

Marshall expressed optimism about the direction in which the country is heading, citing feedback from Kansans during telephone town halls. "We did three telephone town halls, 5,000 Kansans on those phone calls, and over 80% of them feel our country’s generally going in the right direction," he said.

The senator criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for potential government shutdowns, attributing any blame to him if appropriations bills fail to pass. "Well, if there’s a is a shutdown, it’s on the back of Chuck Schumer," Marshall stated.

Regarding allegations against Democrats, Marshall accused them of lying about several issues including Joe Biden's mental health and COVID-19. He claimed that new evidence suggests former President Obama manipulated narratives related to Russian interference in elections.

In terms of international trade, Marshall praised President Trump for his strategic moves against China through trade agreements with countries like Japan and Indonesia. "President Trump is boxing in China right now," he remarked.

Senator Marshall concluded by noting improvements in border security and reductions in fentanyl-related crime due to these measures.
