U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has served Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019, recently highlighted her legislative efforts and personal motivations through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.

On July 26, 2025, Davids addressed the dangers of fentanyl in communities, stating: "One fentanyl-related death is too many. That's why I'm working with law enforcement and local leaders to keep this deadly drug out of our communities for good."

Later that day, she shared a personal reflection about the importance of postal services, writing: "My mom retired from USPS — she showed me just how essential it is. From bills to meds to letters from loved ones, I'm working with both parties to make sure mail arrives on time and tax dollars are used wisely."

On July 27, Davids announced progress on aviation legislation: "My bipartisan bill was signed into law to keep the U.S. at the cutting edge of aviation — and I’m making sure we get the answers we need."

Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She earned a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007 and a JD from Cornell University in 2010.
