U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district, recently used her social media platform to discuss local infrastructure investments, upcoming district outreach, and concerns over federal funding delays.
On July 27, Davids posted about her legislative priorities: "Investing in our local infrastructure means more good-paying jobs, stronger supply chains, and a more reliable economy. That's what I'm working to deliver for all of #KS03."
The following day, on July 28, she announced the start of her August district work period with a focus on community engagement: "I’m kicking off the August district work period today! I’ll be traveling across #KS03, hearing directly from you and sharing how I’m working to lower costs and deliver bipartisan results for our community. Keep an eye out for me!"
Later that same day, Davids addressed a pressing issue regarding emergency preparedness in Kansas: "Today, I called on the Trump Administration to release urgently needed funding for the Kansas Forest Service. These delays put wildfire response, public safety, and local jobs at risk across Kansas."
Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
