U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district in Congress, has recently addressed several issues impacting her constituents through a series of posts on social media.
On July 28, 2025, Davids emphasized the importance of mental health resources for LGBTQ+ individuals, stating: "The 988 LGBTQ+ crisis line has saved lives. I’m working to restore this essential lifeline for folks who need someone to turn to."
Addressing economic concerns the following day, she wrote on July 29, 2025: "Kansas families and farmers are feeling the pinch of rising prices. As a member of @HouseAgDems, I’m working to lower costs across the food supply chain and put money back in your pockets."
Later that same day, Davids visited El Centro to discuss early childhood education programs. She posted: "Visited El Centro today to talk about the power of Head Start. These programs help kids thrive and let parents keep working. We should be expanding them — not cutting them."
Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder in Congress. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park, Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
