U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress, shared updates on her recent visits to key institutions and businesses in Kansas through a series of posts on July 30 and 31, 2025.

On July 30, Davids highlighted her visit to the University of Kansas Medical Center, emphasizing the importance of continued investment in medical research. She stated, "Visited KU Med Center today, where Kansans are leading lifesaving cancer research. Cutting funding for this work isn’t just short-sighted — it’s dangerous."

The following day, Davids spent time with K-State Olathe to observe the agricultural supply chain's impact on grocery prices. In a post dated July 31, she wrote, "Spending the day with @KStateOlathe, learning how every step of the ag supply chain — from farm to table — impacts grocery prices. First stop: Courage Farms in Fontana! " Later that same day, she added details about her next stop: "Next stop: Just visited the chef-grade kitchen at @KStateOlathe — where small food businesses get the tools, space, and support to grow. Lower costs, local jobs, and fresh Kansas-made products? That’s the recipe for a stronger food system. "

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since replacing Kevin Yoder in Congress in 2019. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park at age 42,[source] she holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
