U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019, recently highlighted her engagement with local communities and infrastructure through a series of posts on social media.

On July 31, 2025, Davids posted about her visit to a local business in Shawnee: "Last stop: I visited Franklin General Store in Shawnee to meet with local farmers who stock the shelves with Kansas-grown goods. Strengthening our local supply chain means lower grocery prices and more support for those who grow our food! "

The following day, August 1, she shared another update regarding community planning efforts: "Got to meet with the folks working hard at @APA_Planning and learn more about all they're doing to ensure Kansas communities are set up for success! "

Later that same day, Davids discussed infrastructure improvements in the region: "Strong communities start with strong infrastructure. I toured the De Soto water treatment plant and heard directly from the folks who keep it running every day."

Sharice Davids is currently serving as a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kansas’s 3rd district after replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
