U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’ 3rd district, recently shared a series of posts on her social media account highlighting efforts to support rural communities, address child care affordability, and bolster local food supply chains.

On August 10, Davids posted about her visit with the USDA State Director for Rural Development: "Had a great day in Garnett with the @USDA State Director for Rural Development! I’m dedicated to strengthening our rural communities and making sure every Kansan has the resources they need to thrive."

Later that same day, she addressed the issue of child care costs in Kansas: "Child care costs are out of reach for many Kansas families. Watch below to see how my bipartisan bill can help make it affordable again. "

On August 11, Davids turned her attention to local agriculture: "Supporting our local farm-to-table supply chain means fresher food, stronger communities, and lower costs for everyone. That’s a win for #KS03!"

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas's 3rd District in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980, she is currently based in Roeland Park and is an alumna of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Cornell University.
