"Senator Marshall’s engagement underscored his commitment to supporting inclusive employment and accessibility initiatives across Kansas," according to the release.
The senator also joined a Meals on Wheels route in Wichita, delivering meals to seniors. The Older Americans Act helps fund organizations like Meals on Wheels so that home-bound seniors can access nutritious food. At Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s new facility opening in Maize, Senator Marshall marked the launch of an $80 million plant that will manufacture PVC pipes for plumbing and irrigation nationwide. He called this "a major win for Kansas manufacturing and infrastructure."
While touring the Leavenworth Veterans Affairs Center, Senator Marshall visited newly renovated facilities including a women’s clinic, emergency department, and eye care clinic. He also discussed future VA infrastructure projects planned for Eastern Kansas.
The senator ended his week at Council Grove’s bicentennial celebration where he spoke with community members about the town's history.
