U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’s 3rd district, recently addressed constituents through a series of social media posts highlighting local preparations for the World Cup, legislative achievements on prescription drug costs, and support for students returning to school.
On August 17, Davids wrote, "I’m talking with local leaders to make sure that the World Cup goes smoothly and safely. https://t.co/SO9Ti4rWtx". The following day, she discussed recent legislative efforts impacting healthcare expenses: "Because of a law I voted for, 74,000 Kansans will see prescription drug costs drop by up to 79% — saving Americans $1.5B in the first year. That means more money in families’ pockets for groceries, bills, and savings." On August 18 as well, Davids extended her best wishes to Kansas students and educators at the start of a new academic year: "Back-to-school season is here! Best of luck to Kansas students, teachers, and parents as a new year of learning and growth begins. https://t.co/WG8BisI8t4"
