U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who serves Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress, recently posted a series of updates on social media highlighting her legislative efforts and visits across the state.

On August 20, 2025, Davids addressed the importance of child care for working families: "Reliable, affordable child care isn't a luxury — it's an essential for working families. That's why I helped introduce a bipartisan bill that will invest in child care workers, support Head Start, and lower costs for Kansas families."

Later that day, she commented on federal housing initiatives after visiting Ottawa: "The @USDA Multifamily Housing Program is a crucial resource helping Kansans in rural communities access quality, affordable homes. Loved seeing that program in action in Ottawa!"

On August 21, Davids discussed challenges facing local manufacturers following a site visit: "Just finished a visit to Ultra-Tech Aerospace, one of Kansas' proud manufacturing plants. @POTUS' reckless tariffs are driving up costs for manufacturers, and I'm fighting to support these businesses that strengthen our economy."

Sharice Davids has represented Kansas’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Kevin Yoder. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. Davids holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (BA) and Cornell University (JD).
