U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’ 3rd district since 2019, recently highlighted several local and national initiatives through her social media posts.
On August 24, Davids drew attention to Walmart’s investment in the region, stating, "Did you know that Walmart's first beef processing facility is here in Olathe? Their team is providing fresh, quality food to families across the Midwest right at home! Proud of all the ways #KS03 is leading in the ag industry."
The following day, she marked National Black Business Month by noting the scale of Black-owned businesses nationwide and reaffirming her support for entrepreneurs: "August is National Black Business Month, and with over 3.2 million businesses across the country being Black-owned, there's a lot to celebrate! I'm committed to lowering costs to continue supporting local entrepreneurs." This aligns with ongoing national efforts to promote diversity and entrepreneurship.
Later on August 25, Davids discussed preparations for next summer’s FIFA World Cup events in Kansas’ 3rd district: "Had a great day hosting more of my World Cup Community Conversations in Anderson, Franklin, and Miami Counties! Next summer's @FIFAWorldCup will be here before we know it, and I'm working to ensure all of #KS03 is supported to capitalize on this historic event."
Sharice Davids has served as U.S. Representative for Kansas’s 3rd District since defeating Kevin Yoder in 2019. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park, Davids holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010).
