U.S. Representative Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’s 3rd district in Congress since 2019, recently shared updates on her work and priorities through a series of posts on social media.
On August 31, Davids highlighted her support for local businesses, stating: "Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and I'm working to ensure they have the tools to grow and thrive. Enjoyed exploring Downtown Overland Park and hearing from small business owners about how I can best support them in Washington." The post reflects her engagement with entrepreneurs in her district and commitment to economic development.
Later that day, Davids addressed healthcare rights, writing: "Every Kansan deserves the freedom to make their own health care decisions. I’ll keep fighting to protect access to ALL reproductive care." This statement underscores her stance on protecting reproductive healthcare access for residents of Kansas.
On September 2, Davids turned attention to agricultural policy by discussing trade issues affecting Kansas farmers. She wrote: "KS farmers depend on fair and stable policies to stay competitive. But reckless tariffs put that at risk. Glad to join former Secretary Dan Glickman to talk about building — not burning — bridges for the future of ag."
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2007) and a JD from Cornell University (2010). Since replacing Kevin Yoder in Congress in 2019, she has focused on supporting small businesses, advocating for healthcare rights, and promoting stable agricultural policies as part of her legislative agenda.
