Carol Colnar was recently named the new deputy director for the Johnson County Area Agency on Aging.
Colnar has worked for Johnson County for 21 years. She worked for approximately six years with the Appraiser’s Office prior to joining Aging and Human Services as a Fiscal Supervisor. She remained in this role for 10 years before becoming a Finance Administrator.
In 2019, Colnar was promoted to Operations Manager. Colnar has a thorough foundation of the Area Agency on Aging, as well as the various funding mechanisms. Colnar has a passion for finding solutions where there may be a lack of services for the aging population.
“With her experience, Carol has acquired vital customer service, problem-solving, and leadership skills. She does not hesitate to help wherever needed," Tim Wholf, AHS Director, said. "Her background and initiative will serve her well in her new role of Deputy Director. I am really excited to have Carol in this role.”
