Sharice Davids, the U.S. Congress representative for Kansas’ 3rd district since 2019, recently shared a series of updates on her Twitter account regarding both solemn and legislative matters. Davids replaced Kevin Yoder in 2019 and has been an active member of Congress, addressing various issues pertinent to her constituents.

On February 9, 2025, Davids reflected on a moment of silence held by herself and her colleagues on the House floor to commemorate those who perished in a plane collision near Wichita. She expressed empathy for the affected families, stating: "Last week, my colleagues and I held a moment of silence on the House floor to honor those lost in the tragic plane collision out of Wichita. To those who lost a loved one, know that you are in our thoughts."

Later that same day, Davids emphasized the importance of water security during discussions with the Kansas Rural Water Association (KRWA). She highlighted their conversation about supporting rural communities' access to essential water services: "No community can thrive without access to safe, clean water. Had a great discussion with the @KRWA_WaterRights on how to best support rural communities in securing stable access to water and wastewater utilities."

On February 10, 2025, Davids announced bipartisan efforts alongside Representative Nick Langworthy aimed at modernizing emergency alert systems through the introduction of the WARN Act. This legislation seeks to enhance public safety during severe weather events: "Reliable emergency alerts save lives. That’s why @RepLangworthy and I introduced the bipartisan WARN Act — to modernize our alert systems and ensure folks get accurate, real-time info when severe weather hits."
