U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, representing Kansas, appeared on Newsmax's "Newsline" to discuss a range of topics including his recent meeting with Elon Musk at the White House and various legislative efforts. The meeting with Musk involved discussions about government efficiency and financial management.

"What an exciting day," said Senator Marshall. "I just left a meeting with Elon Musk, and he’s doing an incredible job over there. For the first time in years, I’ve got more hope in my heart. I’m bullish on America." He emphasized the importance of addressing waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending.

Marshall also highlighted his proposed legislation aimed at banning federal funding for viral gain-of-function research. He stated, "This bill would ban any federal funding for viral gain-of-function research, no matter how Anthony Fauci wants to describe it." He criticized the past investment in such research as unproductive and dangerous.

In addition to these topics, Senator Marshall spoke about President Donald Trump's executive order on healthcare price transparency. "Transparency price tags... is one of the pillars of driving down the cost of health care," he noted. The senator advocated for making hospital pricing information easily accessible to consumers.

Finally, Senator Marshall addressed issues within Medicaid programs, pointing out inefficiencies and calling for reforms. "There’s not a federal program out there that’s more broken than Medicaid is," he remarked while advocating for expanded community health centers as part of the solution.
