U.S. Senator Roger Marshall has expressed strong support for the confirmation of Lori Chavez-DeRemer as Secretary of Labor, a nominee put forward by President Donald Trump. In an op-ed published in The Wichita Eagle, Senator Marshall emphasized the need for Chavez-DeRemer's swift confirmation to address issues facing American workers.

Senator Marshall criticized the previous administration's labor policies, stating, "There’s no question that America’s workforce has taken a beating – especially over the four years of the Biden-Harris Administration." He highlighted concerns about overregulation and stagnant wages affecting communities across the nation.

Marshall pointed out that many rural areas in Kansas are experiencing shrinkage and noted that young adults are leaving critical industries. He attributed these challenges to what he described as "former President Joe Biden’s disastrous economic policies that caused inflation to skyrocket."

Expressing confidence in Chavez-DeRemer's capabilities, Marshall stated, "Chavez-DeRemer will be a bold disruptor. I have no doubt she will revolutionize the workforce and empower every American to achieve their dreams." He believes she will ensure all workers have representation and their voices are heard.

The senator praised the current administration's commitment to supporting both union and non-union workers, asserting, "Thankfully, the Trump-Vance Administration is a champion for all hardworking Americans – union and non-union alike."

Marshall concluded his piece by affirming his support for Chavez-DeRemer's nomination: "That’s why I am proud to throw my support behind President Donald Trump’s choice for Secretary of Labor, former U.S. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer."
