U.S. Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas appeared on Fox Business with Charles Payne to discuss several key topics, including President Donald Trump's tariff strategy, the President's recent address before Congress, and initiatives by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

During the interview, Senator Marshall addressed the impact of tariffs implemented by President Trump. He remarked on the patriotism of farmers and ranchers in Kansas who have been affected by fentanyl poisoning and emphasized their support for border security measures. Marshall highlighted previous successes under Trump’s leadership, such as trade agreements with countries like Mexico, Canada, South Korea, and Japan. He noted additional opportunities beyond tariffs: "And lastly, the other two levers he can pull if he gives us year-round E15... And lastly, he can give us the certainty of a 5-year Farm Bill."

Senator Marshall also commented on President Trump's joint session address. He expressed optimism about America's future and mentioned his disappointment with colleagues who did not stand during certain moments: "I think we walked out of there excited... They couldn’t stand for a young boy that had survived brain cancer..."

Regarding DOGE's impact, Marshall spoke about his conversation with Elon Musk. He praised Musk's contributions and efforts in addressing inefficiencies within the federal government: "The big misconception I think people see out there is that Elon is not in there doing the work." Marshall emphasized potential reductions in government waste which could benefit farmers through lower interest rates.
