Rep. Sharice Davids, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Kansas' 3rd district since 2019, recently shared her views and initiatives via a series of tweets. These statements provide insight into her ongoing efforts to address major issues and celebrate cultural heritage within her constituency.

On May 1, 2025, Davids addressed the pressing issue of the fentanyl crisis. In her tweet, she stated, "The fentanyl crisis is hitting our young people hard. I’m working with educators and law enforcement to tackle it head-on, because every life saved matters."

Davids also took to social media to acknowledge Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month on May 2, 2025. She emphasized the significant role these communities have played in shaping the country, writing, "May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. #AANHPI communities have made America what it is today. I celebrate the critical contributions that AANHPI Kansans have made to our country."

Later on the same day, Davids expressed her support for educators, linking to an engagement with the Kansas National Education Association by stating, "Always good to connect with @Kansas_NEA. Our educators shape the future — and I’m proud to stand with them. ."

Sharice Davids, born in Frankfurt in 1980, holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University. She resides in Roeland Park and began her congressional career by succeeding Kevin Yoder in 2019.
