Senator Marshall stated, "Saving American taxpayer dollars by getting rid of $9.4 billion in wasteful spending is another promise made, promise kept by President Trump and his America First Administration." He emphasized the importance of this action given the national debt, which currently stands at $36 trillion.

The senator highlighted that the rescissions package aims to prevent American taxpayer money from being used for programs he described as "woke and weaponized" under the guise of foreign aid or public broadcasting with political biases. Marshall expressed his pride in supporting the package, stating that it is necessary to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.
