U.S. Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas appeared on Newsmax's "Wake Up America" to discuss President Donald Trump's proposed legislation, known as the 'One Big, Beautiful Bill,' and recent violent riots in Los Angeles. The riots erupted following actions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) aimed at removing criminal illegal aliens.

Senator Marshall emphasized the importance of passing the bill, stating, "We are not going to go home this summer without finishing this bill. Failure is not an option." He highlighted that the bill aims to prevent a significant tax increase and provide Americans with an additional $1,000 monthly. The legislation also includes funding for 2,000 miles of border barriers and plans to double ICE removal agents.

Marshall expressed agreement with Senator Ron Johnson's goals of achieving a balanced budget within four years through economic growth and spending stabilization. He noted that the bill would include $2 trillion in cuts and stressed his focus on Medicaid as a potential area for savings.

Regarding the timeline for passing the bill, Marshall predicted that the Senate might work up until July 4th before handing it over to the House. He remarked, "I wouldn’t plan on any big plans over July 4."

Addressing the riots in Los Angeles, Marshall supported President Trump's stance against violence and vandalism targeting federal property and law enforcement. He stated, "Thank God we’ve had Donald Trump as our president. He’s not going to tolerate this one bit."

The senator reiterated support for ICE operations aimed at removing violent illegal aliens from the country and underscored Trump's commitment to law enforcement.
