U.S. Senator Roger Marshall from Kansas has written an opinion piece in Fox News, emphasizing the achievements at the southern border attributed to President Trump's policies. He is urging Congress to pass a budget reconciliation package that would enhance resources and support for border protection.

Senator Marshall states, "Our country stands at a crossroads. Thanks to President Donald Trump’s and Homeland Security Secretary Noem’s leadership, our border is secure." He emphasizes the importance of passing what he refers to as the "One Big, Beautiful Bill" to ensure continued security and resource allocation for law enforcement.

He commends Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Coast Guard, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for their accomplishments. According to Marshall, these agencies have significantly reduced illegal encounters by 95%, seized billions in cocaine and over 3,000 pounds of illicit fentanyl, and deported numerous gang members and terrorists.

Marshall also highlights military involvement under Trump's administration: "On day one of President Trump’s second term, he deployed the U.S. military to help secure our border," noting Kansas' 1st Infantry Division's deployment to Fort Huachuca in Arizona.

During his recent visit to the southern border with Kansas law enforcement officers, Marshall observed high morale among officers but noted stretched resources. "What I saw was encouraging – morale is high... However, resources are stretched thin," he remarked.
