Sharice Davids, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kansas' 3rd district, shared a series of updates via social media on recent activities and developments affecting her constituents. These updates highlight her involvement in charitable events, concerns over public safety due to staffing shortages, and advancements in local educational programs.

On June 17, 2025, Rep. Davids expressed enthusiasm about participating in the Congressional Baseball Game last week. She stated that it was a pleasure to represent Kansas’ 3rd district at the event, which successfully raised $2.7 million for charities benefiting children and families. "Had a blast repping #KS03 at the Congressional Baseball Game last week! We helped raise $2.7 million for charities supporting kids and families. That’s a win in my book."

Later that day, she addressed an issue concerning public safety related to staffing shortages at the National Weather Service (NWS). She voiced her concern over how these shortages could potentially endanger families during severe weather events and emphasized her commitment to seeking answers on ensuring community safety during future storms. "Staffing shortages at the National Weather Service are putting families at risk, and I’m demanding answers on how we’ll stay safe next time a storm hits."

The following day, June 18, 2025, Rep. Davids announced significant progress for early education within her district as @KUMedCenter received a new grant aimed at enhancing their Head Start program. Sharice Davids has been serving as the representative of Kansas's 3rd District since replacing Kevin Yoder in 2019. Born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently residing in Roeland Park, she holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (BA) and Cornell University (JD).
