Rep. Sharice Davids, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kansas' 3rd district, has been actively sharing her stance on various issues via social media. Davids, who succeeded Kevin Yoder in 2019, has used her platform to address concerns related to healthcare, veterans' employment, and infrastructure development.
On July 8, 2025, Davids expressed her disapproval of a recent Republican budget proposal. She stated, "I voted NO on last week’s extreme Republican budget — but rural hospitals across the country are already closing because of it." She emphasized her commitment to working towards reducing costs and safeguarding healthcare access for all Kansans.
Later that day, Davids addressed employment issues within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She remarked on the significance of veterans within the VA workforce and criticized actions that might harm them: "Veterans make up much of the VA’s workforce. Firing them without cause is reckless." Her statement highlighted her efforts to oppose measures that could negatively impact those who have served.
On July 9, 2025, Davids highlighted ongoing infrastructure developments in her district. She shared details about over 370 projects aimed at improving roads, expanding transit options, and enhancing internet access. She described these efforts as an example of bipartisan collaboration: "This is what real BIPARTISAN work looks like."
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA in 2007 and earned a JD from Cornell University in 2010.
