On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall from Kansas joined Vince Coglianese on The VINCE Show to discuss various national security concerns, including the Trump Administration's plan to ban U.S. farmland purchases by China. Marshall emphasized the importance of protecting American farmland from foreign nations, particularly China, which he claims strategically buys land near military bases.

Marshall stated, "… Farm security, food security, is national security – we take it for granted." He expressed concerns about China's proximity to military installations and their involvement in agriculture-related sectors in the U.S., describing it as a national security issue.

The senator criticized the Biden Administration for not acting on these issues sooner. He mentioned his efforts to include the Secretary of Agriculture in CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) assessments. "I begged them to make the Secretary of Agriculture part of CFIUS," he said.

Marshall also highlighted plans by the Trump Administration to prevent further Chinese land acquisitions and reclaim previously purchased lands. "Basically, they’re going to have an executive order that says China... cannot buy any further agricultural land in the United States," he noted.

Discussing other topics, Marshall touched upon Secretary Rollins' firm stance against amnesty and praised recent border security measures under President Trump's administration. He also commented on Joe Biden’s physician being subpoenaed regarding Biden's mental health during his presidency.

Furthermore, Marshall discussed legislation aimed at cutting funding for PBS and NPR due to perceived biases and financial waste. He questioned ongoing international aid expenditures like those addressing AIDS in Africa.

The conversation reflects ongoing debates over national security, media funding, and foreign investments impacting U.S. interests.
