Rep. Sharice Davids, who has served as the U.S. Representative for Kansas’ 3rd District since 2019, recently shared a series of updates on her work via social media. Her posts addressed water quality improvements, healthcare concerns related to Medicaid cuts, and engagement with local leaders in her district.
On July 9, 2025, Rep. Davids highlighted her efforts to secure funding for water quality projects in Kansas: "Thanks to a request I made to the annual water resource bill, we're improving Kansas' water quality and saving taxpayers a total of $41 million."
The following day, July 10, she met with healthcare professionals to discuss recent policy changes: "Spoke with nearly 200 Vibrant Health staff today about the devastating impact of Republican Medicaid cuts — stripping coverage, closing rural hospitals, and raising costs. Their work is more important than ever!"
Later that same day, Rep. Davids described her engagement with community leaders from her district: "Had a chance to sit down with local leaders from across #KS03 to hear more about the amazing work they’re doing to strengthen our community. Thankful for all they do!"
Sharice Davids was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and currently resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
