Sharice Davids, who has represented Kansas’s 3rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of statements on social media regarding legislative actions and local developments. Davids, 42, was born in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1980 and resides in Roeland Park. She holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a JD from Cornell University.
On July 13, 2025, Davids highlighted her legislative record by referencing her vote for measures to reduce costs and address the national debt. She stated: "Lowering costs and the national debt? Yep, I voted for that. In 2022, I backed a law that capped insulin at $35/month and cut the deficit by $300 billion. Real results. Not partisan gimmicks."
In another post dated July 14, 2025, Davids addressed concerns about proposed federal budget changes affecting healthcare coverage in Kansas. She wrote: "The extreme Republican budget will gut KanCare and rip health care away from nearly 100,000 Kansans. I’m pushing back."
Later that same day, Davids attended an event marking new economic development in Kansas. She commented on the occasion: "Big day in De Soto! We celebrated the grand opening of the new @PanasonicNA EV plant — bringing good-paying jobs and cutting-edge manufacturing right here to Kansas."
Sharice Davids succeeded Kevin Yoder as representative for Kansas’s 3rd District in 2019.
